Telecare services enable the elderly, vulnerable or infirm to live safely, happily and independently in their own homes, whilst maintaining a better quality of life and avoiding admission to institutionalised care or hospital.

Telecare services embody technologies and services ranging from sensors placed in the home, providing links to emergency response, through to lifestyle monitoring and telehealth (remote monitoring of vital signs for diagnosis, assessment and prevention).

The Telecare 2007 event will consist of an exhibition
with supporting keynote and case history presentations.

The exhibition will cover the telecare/telehealth technologies and medical devices available now, offering telecare solution providers the opportunity to showcase the use of their products and services. All exhibitors will have the chance to include a speaker within the case history programme.

The case history programme comprises two streams. Specially invited keynote speakers will also participate in the event.
